DISCOVER OUR DTS – YWAM AT / CURITIBA, BRAZIL
The DTS (Discipleship Training School) is an intensive Christian training program from the University of the Nations. It consists of a 12-week lecture phase followed by an 8-week outreach.
DTS is a call to obedience.
Jesus gave a command: “Go and make disciples.” Obedience begins with surrender, and DTS is a step into that journey.
This is the beginning of a process that transforms people into disciples, and disciples into messengers of the Kingdom.
DTS is where purpose takes shape, where hearts are formed, faith is tested, and calling becomes real.
You are called!!!
The next DTS for English speakers will begin on January 18th, 2027. Apply now!

FAQ
Is the training in-person or online?
The course is fully in-person, as community life is an essential part of the learning experience. Living alongside other students, leaders, and missionaries, you will experience daily discipleship, grow in character, learn through serving, and build authentic relationships. Something that cannot be replicated in an online setting.
This is the YWAM way of living and learning.
How much does DTS cost?
The total cost for the lecture phase is $2,000 USD.
This includes training, accommodation, and meals during the 3 months.
Outreach phase (Phase 2):
The cost of the outreach varies depending on the location (national or international) and is not included in the lecture phase fees. Each student is responsible for covering their own outreach expenses, following the guidance of the school leadership.
On average:
- A national outreach in Brazil may cost around $1,000 USD
- An international outreach may cost around $2,000 USD, mainly due to airfare
Where does the DTS take place?
The DTS takes place at the YWAM AT, in the metropolitan region of Curitiba, Brazil. Our campus includes housing, a dining hall, classrooms, community areas, and prayer spaces. It is one of the largest mission bases in Latin America.

Who can apply for DTS?
The course is designed for young adults and adults (18+) who desire to grow in spiritual maturity, leadership, and influence for the Kingdom of God. You do not need to be a pastor or leader—just have a willing heart to serve and learn.
The main requirement is to be a Christian and actively connected to a local church.
Is the course paid? Why are there fees?
Yes. The fees help cover the costs of meals, accommodation, base maintenance, operational expenses, and support for staff and guest speakers.
Each investment directly contributes to the sustainability of the training and enables more people to be equipped to serve the nations.
Does DTS include mission trips?
Yes! During the training, students participate in cross-cultural outreach trips to apply what they’ve learned and serve in different nations. These experiences are unique opportunities to put faith into action and develop a global perspective.
Each outreach has its own cost, and students are responsible for raising their own funds for this phase of the school.
Why should I go to the nations?
We go to the nations because Jesus asked us to go. Every person on earth is loved by God and deserves to know that love. Jesus commissioned His followers, saying:
“Go and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19).
We believe that reaching the nations is not an optional part of the Christian life—it is part of our purpose.
Matthew 28:19; Mark 16:15; Romans 10:14–15
What is included in the training?
When you enroll in the training, you will live in community in one of our accommodations, sharing a room with other students and experiencing the YWAM missionary lifestyle.
We provide everything needed for your training period, including:
- Full meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner)
- Internet access across the campus
- Laundry facilities for student use
- Coffee Shop and small convenience store for daily needs
- Prayer rooms, walking trails, and quiet spaces for personal time with God
- Soccer field, recreation, and community areas
- One day off per week
More than just physical structure, you will find a vibrant community, an environment for spiritual growth, and meaningful friendships.
How can I discover God’s calling for my life?
Discovering God’s calling begins with what He has already asked us to do—to love God and love people. This starts in community, by serving others.
Through this process, you will begin to discover your gifts and develop your abilities. And when you find a place where your gifts meet a real need that you are passionate about, you will begin to recognize your purpose—God’s calling for your life.
Leviticus 19:18; Mark 12:29–31; 1 Corinthians 12:27–28
