Youth With A Mission is a global movement of Christians from many cultures, age groups and Christian traditions, dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world.
Also known as YWAM (pronounced “WHY-wham”), we unite in a common purpose to know God and to make Him known. Back when we began in 1960, our main focus was to help youth get involved in missions.
Today, we still focus on youth and we also include people of all ages. We currently have tens of thousands of staff (called “YWAMers”) from nearly every country, including places like Indonesia, Nepal, Mozambique, and Brazil.

University of the Nations
Ywam offers training programs in more than 300 different locations across 171 countries. This global Ywam university is called the University of the Nations.
Our Base
Ywam Almirante Tamandaré is located in the Metropolitan Region of Curitiba 9 kilometers away from downtown Curitiba in a rural setting with beautiful Araucaria trees, gardens, lakes, and trails.
Get involved
We provide opportunities for people to live on our base as volunteers from 1 to 3 months. During this time they can use their skills to assist in practical ways needed in various ministries.
