What is Arts DTS?
The Discipleship Training School (DTS) is your chance to have an experience with God like never before. It is an intense, rewarding and also fun five-month learning experience, with three months of lecture phase and two months of practical experience in the field.
During the DTS you not only study the word of God but alsofind out how to make it real in your own life by learning to hear the voice of God and letting Him change your heart. The DTS is your chance to intensely seek the face of God and know the joy of being intimate with the creator. Each DTS can offer local, national or international practical opportunities.
DTS is a course that gives people the opportunity to have their character and personality strengthened to know God’s purpose for their lives. The main emphasis of the course is to know God in greater depth and to provide the student with favorable circumstances to mature his relationship with the Lord and the people around him.
The bilingual Art DTS offers to you the same curriculum of a conventional DTS with a focus on discipleship and personal growth. Furthmore, with a creative focus, it aim to use your gifts and talents; It provides a wonderful opportunity for you to find a purpose in God as an artist and through sharing the gospel creatively.
We’ll offer workshops focusing on circus, dramas, dance and music. At the end of the lecture phase, the plan is to have a final performance encompassing all the skills that the students had learned throughout the term. During the outreach phase, the students will be challenged to use their acquired skills in a creative way to share the gospel and to serve local churches.
Throughout the DTS all topics and communication will be bilingual, in English and Portuguese.

- To INSPIREand CULTIVATE growth in one’s relationship with God resulting in Christ like character, which is based on a solid Biblical foundation, the work of the Holy Spirit and the personal application of Biblical truth, especially concerning God’s Character, the Cross and empowering Grace.

- To further EQUIPeach one to serve God’s purposes either in or outside of YWAM Family of Ministries, strengthening a commitment to reach the lost, especially the unreached, to care for the poor, and to influence all areas of society.
- To IMPARTthe vision and foundational values of Youth With A Mission International as well as that of the host operating location and to provide information regarding a variety of opportunities for service.
During the Bilingual Arts DTS we will study the following topics:

II. Meditation, Intimacy with God
III. Crucified Life
IV. The Heart of the Artist
The DTS Curriculum is to grow your relationship with God, Christian character and vocational of the student. The student will be personally discipleship by missionaries who will help him in spiritual growth, in the discovery of talents and gifts for Christian service, both in missionary work and in the Christian life. There will be reading books during school.
How It Works?
LECTURE PHASE: In the morning you will have a time alone with God and then class. In the afternoons, depending on the day of the week, you will participate in *workduties, theater rehearsals, group studies, discipleship, intercession, etc. At nights they are usually free for personal study and book reading. During the DTS you will have one day off per week.
OUTREACH: During the two months of practical work, the students are sent as a team for a time of outreach in a mission field in Brazil or abroad. There the emphasis is on applying the principles taught in the first three months, along with active participation in creative evangelism, training, discipleship, mercy, service and arts.
Workduty time is used to give the student the opportunity to serve the community during extra-class times and to teach values of the kingdom of God, such as diligence, service, teamwork, interdependence, and so on.
We understand that serving one another is one of the most basic principles of the Christian faith, and as we live in community, we also look after our place of living, work, and study in our community. The workduty of the base is a daily activity that consists of manual work, clean the kitchen, clean the bathrooms, gardening, construction.

Extra costs during the lecture phase period:Niko + Strings: US $ 90Niko is a program of YWAM that develops in a practical way the relationship with God and the teamwork, through a camping in the mountains in the south of Brazil.
Optional Costs during the Lecture Phase:

Who Can Apply?
• Be a Christian with at least one year of conversion,
• be in communion with a church,
• have your pastor / leader’s approval,
• be at least seventeen years old
• and enjoy Arts
Read carefully everything that is written on this site. It is important that you clearly understand what the DTS is about and have a word / confirmation from God to be with us at this school. Before signing up, ask yourself if you want to go deeper into your relationship with God and others and have an interest in evangelism, service, training, and missions.
It is necessary for the student to be with us full time during the entire 5-month DTS period. There is no requirement for training or communication skills.
